Marefold is a private catering and events company based on Bruny Island. We service both the holiday accomodation houses and private homes on the Island and occasionally host private catering events in Hobart and the surrounding area.
With Marefold you can expect a unique and personalised dining experience using the very best local produce at some of the most beautiful places on the island.

Your hosts Simon and Nicola owned and operated several successful restaurants in Palm Cove, North Queensland for over 20 years. Simon entered the private sector in late 2015 where he plied his craft in Europe, The UK, Asia and the Middle East. His clients included many high profile individuals and he was contracted to some of the world’s most beautiful super yachts, private estates and even private planes.
In 2019 Simon returned to Australia and together with Nicola relocated to Bruny Island where the concept of Marefold came to life: that beautiful, local food can be brought directly to Bruny’s visitors without them needing to travel outside of where they are staying.
Marefold almost exclusively uses produce from the Island and Southern Tasmania. In doing so we are able to showcase the region's talented, hard working and visionary primary producers.
